Russia: Putin holds Security Council meeting as delegation returns from Pyongyang Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting of the Russian Security Council in moscow, Friday, after a Russian delegation visited Pyongyang for talks with the North Korean leadership. Russia has created a full coverage radar system of warning of a missile attack, the chairman of the board of directors and general designer of the RTI concern, chief designer of the missile attack warning system Sergey Boyev said on Thursday. "Last year we commissioned three long-range radars. In accordance with the president’s instructions we created the full coverage peripheral radar system unparalleled in the past," he said. The system of warning of a missile attack identifies and warns of missile launches and provides missiles’ flight path data for government and military control centers. The exercises began last week at several locations in Russia and Belarus and will be conducted until Wednesday.
