Russian Defence Ministry on implementation of the Memorandum on creation of de-escalation zones
Ceasefire observation
Control groups continue monitoring the ceasefire observation within the implementation of the Memorandum on creation of the de-escalation zones in the Syrian Arab Republic, which had been signed by the Russia, Turkey, and Iran on May 4, 2017.
Situation in the de-escalation zones is assessed as stable.
Over the last 24 hours, the Russian party of the Russia-Turkey Commission on violations of the Joint Agreement has registered 15 cases of firing in the provinces of Latakia (2), Homs (3), Damascus (8), and al-Suwayda (2).
The Turkish party has registered 14 cases of ceasefire violations in the provinces of Aleppo (1), Idlib (9), Hama (1), and Damascus (3).
Most cases of unselective firing from small arms have been registered in the areas controlled by insurgents of the ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist groupings.
Humanitarian aid provided to the Syrian population
Over the last 24-hour, five humanitarian actions have been held by the Russian Centre for reconciliation of opposing sides:
Citizens of Umm es Sargj el Kibli (Homs province) received 2 tons of food supplies;
Citizens of Ayishah, Deir Jamal and Kafr Naya (Aleppo province) received 4.8 tons of food supplies.
Citizens of as-Suwayda (as-Suwayda province) received 7.1 tons of food supplies.
Total number of held humanitarian actions reached 1,630. Total weight of delivered cargos is 2,196.1 tons.
Over the last 24 hours, medical assistance has been provided to 180 people.
In total, 57,791 people have received medical aid.
Reconciliation of opposing sides
Over the last 24 hours, no ceasefire agreements have been signed.
Total number of settlements that had signed reconciliation agreements is 2, 235.
Negotiations on joining ceasefire regime have been continued with field commanders of detachments of armed opposition in the Aleppo, Damascus, Homs, Hama, and al-Quneitra provinces.
The number of armed formations, which have claimed to observe the ceasefire regime, is still 234.
